We are seeking an Ecommerce Project Manager to join our Creative Services department and contribute to our award-winning ecommerce channel. As a member of the User Experience leadership team, this role will be instrumental in helping Orvis plan, execute, and grow this strategic channel. This position will be key to building cross-departmental relationships and have a solid understanding of all aspects of the ecommerce business. This role must be driven by a strong desire to create the best experience for our customers. Responsible for the day-to-day workflow of projects, the Project Manager will ensure all work is produced on time and on strategy.

Reports to the Director of User Experience and partners with members of the Creative Department, Merchandise Operations and Planning teams, and IT department. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
This position is based in our Home Office in Sunderland, Vermont. Our Vermont location is a dog-friendly office, so you may have a few 4-legged office mates as well. Orvis Dogs at Work
Manage the implementation of short- and long-term strategic initiatives on behalf of business partners and assigned lines of business
Operate as liaison between User Experience team members, business partners, and IT partners forming a strong working relationship between teams
Provide strategic direction and guidance to enable the realization of business objectives
Manage and prioritize project workflow from scoping/briefing to final execution
Communicate scope, timing, and budget implications to team members and key stakeholders, developing contingency plans as needed
Facilitate regular User Experience team status meetings and client meetings as required
Effectively communicate relevant project information to managers, elevating issues as appropriate
Assist in the creation, implementation, and training of processes and tools
Possess a thorough understanding of the creative department capabilities
Possess a thorough understanding of Ecommerce best practices and methodologies
Hold creative team and partners accountable for deadlines, remove roadblocks; leverage resources to improve capacity
Manage special projects as needed
Successful delivery of Ecommerce projects that serve the needs of the customer and the business
Happy, productive, and efficient cross-departmental teams that deliver results
Manage efficient processes that produce output on schedule, always looking for time efficiency
Invest in content with financial responsibility; hit budgets, look for opportunities for efficiency
Strong business acumen especially focused on Ecommerce
Ability to communicate effectively across departments
Extremely detailed oriented and organized
Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects simultaneously
High level of responsibility and energy
5+ years of prior experience managing cross-departmental Ecommerce projects
Knowledge of Ecommerce best-practices and methodologies
Knowledge of creative and business tool such as InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, and Workfront,
B.A./B.S. or equivalent professional experience required
